Our aim the study of literary texts from a feminist perspective, which means that we ask, among other questions, how the text represents women, what it says about gender relations, how it defines sexual difference.We will try to assess how the text invites its readers, as members of a specific culture, to understand what it means to be a man or a woman, and whether it encourages them to reaffirm or to challenge existing cultural norms. Students will study mainly literary and poetic texts by both men and women writers as well as some relevant feminist critical texts.Λιγότερα
