Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

This course concerns the study of normative (deontic) concepts, rules and axiomatic systems. Beginning with references to medieval deontic logic, the approaches of A. Meinong, E. Mally and G. H. von Wright, as well as to the axiomatic systems "Standard Deontic Logic" and "Anderson-Kanger Reduction" and their semantics. are presented. Finally, several paradoxes regarding common systems of deontic logic and attempts to resolve them will be discussed.
