This module examines the use by domestic courts of international law. Against the background of omnirelevant doctrines and practices on the interaction between the international and domestic legal orders, the course employs a horizontal assessment of the (otherwise, vertical) relationship between international and domestic law, with a view to introduce students to one of the most fundamental dialectics of international legal policy and practice.
