This course will cover various aspects of Geographic Information Systems tailored to health-related applications, and it will provide you with skills and knowleghe about:
a) Understanding spatial data and its significance in healthcare, b) Exploring disease mapping and spatial patterns of diseases, c) Understanding the impact of environmental factors on health and analyzing environmental health data using GIS techniques, d) Assessing healthcare access and utilization through spatial analysis, e) Managing and preprocessing health-related spatial data, f) Engaging communities in health mapping projects, g) Emerging technologies and future trends in GIS for health science, h) Practicing GIS tools and software for health-related data analysis.
