Descripción del Curso

The main aim of the course is to familiarise students with the current trends in Translation studies (mostly from, but not exclusively, a linguistic point of view) and enable them to critically assess the quality of translated texts.  Different theoretical perspectives are going to be presented and students will be asked to explore the strengths and weaknesses of each one of them.  The course will combine theoretical exposition with practice: this is the best way translators can enhance their skills and improve the outcome of their translating.
