This course is designed to equip students, as future English teachers, with the skills to identify and utilize appropriate digital teaching materials, new media, and tools for creating engaging teaching and learning activities. By the end of the course, students will be able to develop and implement lessons that enhance learners' abilities in comprehending and producing both oral and written discourse.

The course is divided into thematic units, each focusing on specific methodologies and tools aimed at developing key language skills such as vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening, writing, speaking, and pronunciation. Throughout the course, students will explore a variety of digital tools, media, and online resources that can be integrated into language lessons to develop the four language skills. In addition, emphasis is placed on fostering critical thinking, collaborative skills, digital literacies, learning strategies, and overall 21st-century skills.

Active participation and consistent attendance are essential to succeed in this course. Students are expected to engage fully in activities, apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations, and collaborate in designing and presenting projects. Resources such as book chapters and academic papers are also provided via the e-class platform to deepen their understanding of the topics covered. Attendance and hands-on participation in in-class tasks are key components of the learning process, and students should recognize the importance of being present and engaged throughout the course.

Additionally, students will develop AI literacy and learn how to integrate AI technologies into their lesson designs. This includes exploiting AI for personalized learning activities, enhancing student engagement, and using AI-driven tools to support the teaching of vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and communication skills. AI's contribution to second/foreign language learning is also explored, particularly its role in creating adaptive learning environments, providing instant feedback, and enabling immersive language practice. These insights will help students to harness AI to enhance their future classrooms and teaching methods.
