Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

The course is entitled: Literature and Film in Science Fiction. The main objective is for the students to become familiar with some principles of science fiction in literature and in film. The two artistic media will be compared. A main text is "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" by the celebrated writer Philip Dick and a main film based on that novel is "Blade Runner" directed by the famous Ridley Scott. In addition other films and texts will be read to explore the themes of science and the social, psychological, and artistic interpretations.
