Descrizione del Corso

The aim of the course is to familiarize the students with contemporary feminist theoretical approaches to literature. We study works by both French and English-speaking feminists, and investigate the relation of feminist criticism to other theories such as deconstruction and psychoanalysis. To demonstrate further the social, ideological and political significance of feminist theory we apply it to critical readings of various literary texts.
