Course : Topics in History of Modern Logic (HPL4)

Hi all,

some students informed me that the Assignments tab isn’t visible to those who are not signed in to the page. So I’m also posting below the instructions and information regarding the assignments:
 

The pdf file with the reading (posted in the Documents folder) includes an introductory note (by William Ewald) on the history of Euclid’s 5th postulate and on Lambert’s work. I included it in the file, because I think you may find it helpful. But the required reading is from p.7 onward (until p.16).

Reminder about the assignments:

Post on the Assignments tab —or send it via mail to phil.papayan@uoc.gr — a briefing note on the reading (word, pdf, etc.; any kind of file will do). In the briefing note you should include a summary of the main goal(s)/structure of the argument(s) in the paper and raise some possible points for discussion/worries/thoughts/objections etc. (depending on the nature of the particular reading each time).
