Course Description

This is the image of course

Through the history of economic thought, the course aims to help understand political economy and the relationship between the creation of economic theories and the political and social environment.
After an introductory lecture on the nature and methodology of economic science, subsequent lectures will focus on the prehistory of economic thought (ancient Greek thought, scholasticism and mercantilism), the genesis of classical political economy, Marxist economic theory, the marginal revolution and neoclassical economic theory. The lectures conclude with the reaction to neoclassical theory - especially Keynesianism - and the controversies of the 20th century.
