Αγαπητοί φοιτητές,

Σας προωθώ προκήρυξη του Ιδρύματος Σταύρος Νιάρχος για υποτροφία προπτυχιακών φοιτητών και ενός υποψηφίου διδάκτορος για ένα εξάμηνο στο Πανεπιστήμιο York στον Καναδά. Οι ενδιαφερόμενοι μπορούν να απευθύνονται απευθείας στον κο. Σάκη Γκέκα, αναπληρωτή καθηγητή Ελληνικών Σπουδών στο York University (Τορόντο).

Information and application for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Scholarship is available on the incoming funding website: https://yorkinternational.yorku.ca/funding-incoming-global-learning/. Note that we have increased the scholarship amount to $10,000 for a four-month period (1 semester) that can be pro-rated for shorter stays in Toronto. 

For exchange students:

• we will begin receiving nominations from partner institutions on January 15 - April 15: https://yorku.moveonca.com/form/5fb8262df3c61d5bb8058a83/eng
• nominated students will be sent application instructions by our team, and will need to complete their application by April 22
• in addition to their exchange application, students will need to complete the application for the scholarship (preferably by April 22, but we can be flexible)
• please review our fact sheet for additional information on process, timelines, and academic program restrictions

For visiting research students: 

• once the student has confirmed a hosting supervisor at York University, please let me know. We can then initiate the International Visiting Research Trainee (IVRT) process.
• the visiting research program is more fluid and flexible, and the research project doesn't need to align with our semester dates. The students can confirm their program dates in Canada with the hosting supervisor
• in addition to IVRT application, students will need to complete the application for the scholarship (linked above) - we can accept the application on a rolling basis, but prefer to receive at least 2-months in advance of their travel to Canada
