American Legends written examination via Webex

Dear students,

As instructed by the University authorities, I must offer you a written examination on Webex at the replacement time and date issued by the Rector's office, ie, Monday, January 26, 2-4pm.

Please note that you are required to:

a. TYPE your exam answers in an Open Office/Office Libre or Word file, so that they may be submitted to the turnitin platform for checking. No handwritten exams will be allowed.

b. log in from a device with a CAMERA that shall remain ON for the duration of the exam, and focused on your person from the hands upwards. There can be no exceptions to the rule.

Dear students,

As our next class falls on December 6, a day of trouble usually, there is good likelihood that the Rector might close down the School. However, that would not be an official holiday and we would have to make it up. IF that happens, rather than trouble you with finding extra sessions, we shall attempt to have an online class that day, and I´ll be sending you a webex link the day before. I trust the network won´t suffer heavy damage five minutes before again.

Dear pun'kins,

My internet died suddenly and it looks like a serious damage. I am therefore unable to conduct today's class. I apologize for the inconvenience. We shall have this material next time, and accordingly we shat move our syllabus schedule one week down. This means we won't do the texts for week 13 and the last journal will be for week 11. I will update our syllabus as soon as I am virtual again. Meanwhile, back to the Stone Age ...

This is an interdisciplinary event that attempts to explore the urgent need for young people's civic engagement and social mobilization in our networked culture.

A critical approach to digitality rests at the center of the discussions to be held so that the opportunities and challenges various disciplines face come to the fore.

Dear students,

It was announced today that the School will be closed November 15-17. As we cannot afford to miss any classes, and I believe it would be harder on your schedule to arrange for alternatives, I have scheduled a Webex class for Wednesday 12-3 (BE CAREFUL--DIFFERENT TIME!!!). I have bumped up the class so you can be done earlier and also because 3-6 is a tortuous time to work anyway.
