I wish you the best for the new year! I am still working on the 4th draft and glad your work is progressing. Please prepare points you would like to make clear on Wednesday Jan 8th.

I need a bio-note from each one of you for the TEP III Symposium. You may produce a small paragraph like the following, which you may upload in ASSIGNMENTS, by Friday Jan. 10:

Constantinos Dimitrakakis is a student of the MA programme English Language, Linguistics and Translation, Specialization: "Translation Studies and Interpreting", Dept. of English Language and Literature, School of Philosophy - National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. He has also studied acting at the ‘Art Theater Karolos Koun’ in Athens. His academic interests lie in theatre translation and audiovisual translation. The title of his talk is ’Translating In-Yer-Face Theatre for the Greek stage’.

Dear all,

just to confirm that you may send me your latest version of your papers, by Dec. 30th or 31st, if you would like me to have another look at your papers, provided that you have responded to the comments I have made up to now.

I would be glad to have a look at your introductions, lit reviews and conclusions.

Please keep writing in the files I have commented upon, DO NOR TRANSFER corrections in another file of yours, because I have introduced a lot of invisible corrections in these files, which should not be missed.

It may take me some time to review your new work in January, so please do not stop working in the meantime, ... you cannot afford this... If you stopped working, waiting for my feedback, I would do harm rather than good to you...! In this case you might be better off, if you go on working at a regular pace throughout the vacation, without expecting my feedback.

The Department organizes a reception event to welcome you to the MAs on November 27, 2024. A theatre practitioner, (and translator), Dimitris Dimopoulos, is invited to talk with everybody, at the welcome event. You will see a new "assignment", in Documents, which will ask you to read the cv and professional experience of Dimitris Dimopoulos and write down to questions related to translation, which you would like to address to a theatre practitioner. Try to make use of this opportunity to elicit knowledge you would not have acquired otherwise.
