Μάθημα : Θεωρία Τελεστών (Θ13-E20)

Hi all,
I hope you enjoyed the first class on Thursday. I am switching to English so that everyone has access to information. Please let me know if any information (below or later) is unclear.

I have now uploaded three files and renamed the previous file for better organising the material is it is being added. The organisation of the notes so far is in three sections: 1.x Notes, 2.x Exercises, 3.x Additional reading. Additional reading is to support your study and making sure that items that may be central have their proof; this section is non-examinable.

You can now find a set of exercises on function spaces, showing that the examples we looked at during the lecture are Banach algebras (with a focus on showing they are complete with respect to the norm). It may be a good exercise to give them a go on your own, and then cross-check your work, and/or ask me for anything that may be unclear.

Moreover, you will find a set of notes on the Stone-Weierstrass Theorem, as it is always good to have looked at its proof at least one.

Finally, I added the notes of introduction/summary about the course (with a note on what one can do beyond this class).
